Finally, more posts. Summer.

Yes, it's been another hectic period in our lives.  We decided to move in with my mother.  At first we considered becoming landlords and renting out our Thrushwood home, but then we chose to sell the house.  There was tons of work preparing the house and the yard, including painting the house, finishing the hardwood floors, etc.  And then there was all the packing and moving. And of course we had to deal with all the work involved in selling the house (by owner).  We did quite a bit around mom's yard and house too.  Then my supervisor, who was filling in for the department head, quit right about when we made the move and I was asked to step in for the interim (which is still going on 3 months later).  I was not looking for extra stress and work at this point in my career.  Here are just a few memories from an extremely busy summer.
Besides replacing the swing set, we also put in some dome monkey bars (mobile).  Robert, Jared, and I were chief engineers in assembling it.
We added a pad and two sheds (all to city code) and had the existing tool shed (not shown) painted to match.
Here's another driveway we added (but not showing a new vinyl gate we later put in) so we would have a place to part our small trailer (on the gravel) and our vehicles (one behind and one in front of the gates.
The girls enjoying and early summer rain back at Thrushwood.
Jared and grandma Joyce sometime during the summer.
Getting ready for a bike pull.
"Painting" the deer with water on a hot day.
Jared and his niece, Brittney, at her birthday dinner.
 With the cake.
McKel enjoying a ride with Edison at Lagoon.
Some of us made it up to Preston and Mink Creek for the annual Keller reunion.
Logan City has upgraded a pathway along the canal through the neighborhood.  Here the girls enjoy a walk along the water.
After a haircut and braiding of their own, the girls practice their cosmetology skills on some models.
They got their first swimming lessons this summer at the sports academy.  Private lessons!
 McKel and a noodle.
Avril, learning how to float on her back.
Breakfast of champions - with grape juice, of course.
The new swing set is a huge hit.  McKel enjoys the special seat ordered especially for Edison (but for others too, if they want).
The dome is useful for things other than climbing, you know - like tents.
 Trying on a crow head.
 And a chicken head.
 Elephants are fun too.
At "Noodles" McKel succumbed to slumber.  The napkin was sufficient to keep her a bit warmer.
A cookie for dessert hits the spot.
 Painting is always fun!
Avril did a great job painting inside the lines of the clown Gayle drew for her.
Behind the girls you can see the set up of monkey bars and swing set.  We later pulled out the old bars to allow more room for those swinging.  I had to re-seed parts of the lawn either affected by the cement pad additions, or next to the garage where it never grew well before (I added top soil).  Here the girls show off their "grass pies."
The sisters always display their motherly instincts by putting many dolls to bed and covering them with blankets.
Intently working on an iPad application.
Showing a new outfit, especially the shoes!
And a new outfit for McKel too, including new shoes.
Gayle practiced face painting in preparation for the Pancake Run that Alicia and Mike organized.
 Quack, quack!
McKel had more ear tubes put in this summer.  She's a good sport.
At the hospital.
