Rockwell 2014

I'm writing this nearly a year later.  In going through our photos, we realized that last year - with selling our Thrushwood home, moving to our Lundstrom Park area home (with mom), and my assuming a department leader role at Thermo Fisher - we had forgotten to do a blog posting for our second Rockwell Relay adventure.  So here it is:

Our team.  Mike Goodwin (a colleague from Thermo), me, Mike, Alicia -- in the park in Moab the evening prior to the relay.
The elderly couple :) the evening before the ride.
The teams typically do a group start for a mile or two, then the rider for the initial leg continues.  Mike Goodwin was our first rider, but here our I pose with Ali and Mike A.
 Ready for the start.
Here we're awaiting Mike Goodwin to come along on the first leg, en route to Montecello.  With us are Dave and Angie Jones and a friend from California who rode with their team.
This was at the exchange from the 3rd to the 4th legs, a few miles above the Colorado River.  This is to give a sense for the desert and sunny conditions, although it was getting late in the afternoon by then. There are 12 legs (each of the 4 riders does 3 legs of the 527 mile ride).
Alicia, handing off a water bottle, I think during the 4th leg.
A shot at the finish line in St. George, Utah.
Loading up to head to a hotel for some rest!
