Peruvian folkdance/music

Our last night in Peru we went to a late folkloric show so we could go directly from there to the airport by 3:00 a.m. It was the Brisas del Titicaca. It was a great show with multiple bands and dance companies. The recent Miss Universe pageant had a controversy over the Diablada (a dance done in the Andes) because the Peruvian contestant wore a Diablada costume and Bolivia claims the tradition. Of course the Andean culture extends from Chile through Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Columbia. At any rate, we got to see a Diablada performed during the show, along with many other dances. The spectators also were encouraged to dance to the bands between dance numbers, which we did and enjoyed doing so.
