October except for our Guatemala Trip

We reprised our Dolly and Kenny roles at an early October hoe-down at a Logan 8th ward dinner, singing "Islands in the Stream."

The dinner included "road kill" desserts, such as this Petrified Porcupine, complete with a crow eating its guts (Jenifer Isom prepared this one, and took the prize).
Janet Garn was part of a Relief Society skit and really hammed it up in costume.
Bishop Firth looked the part in his authentic fox hat.
And Jeff Pease showed his prized teeth and mullet hair-do.
Spencer Parkinson, my nephew, joined my dad (Spencer Parkinson), me, and other family members for his birthday dinner on Thursday the 27th at the Sizzler.
Brittney, a freshman, looks up to Spencer, a senior, at Logan High School.
Enjoying the birthday root beer float.
Avril loves "reading" books, even ones that were discarded by the school district and are many decades old!
Avril's pre-school had a Halloween costume party the same night as Spencer's birthday dinner, so the girls went to it instead.
 McKel was a watermelon!
 Avril was a pumpkin.

 Fishing at the party.
Today our friends for many years, the Dollars from Fresno, came by to visit.  Here are Brooks and Patti with Gayle.
The girls, tasting the yummy cheesecake Gayle made for the Dollars and us.
