We had a delightful Christmas eve at Grandpa and Grandma's, with Robert, Tracine, Sam, and Spencer Lee, along with Alicia, Avril, McKel, and Jared. Jesse had to work. We had quite the breakfast spread as an evening meal.
Pancakes, fruit, bacon, eggs, etc.
Some of the blueberry pancakes that were consumed.
These two are skinny but have hollow legs! Spencer (L) and Sam (R).
Robert and Tracine teaming up to cook eggs.
My role has become pancake flipper
Avril, Alicia, and Jared
Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed the company
Gayle and I bonding
Avril loves playing in the spare toy room downstairs. She's going night-night with some dollies on the floor.
Alicia played Christmas carols to accompany our singing
We read about the savior's birth from Luke
Robert and Tracine traded off getting to hold McKel
Avril had fun opening things
Gayle got a nice scarf
Spencers 1, 2, and 3
The next morning we had Christmas present opening at our house. It was McKel's first and Avril's second Christmas.
Jared had fun with his nieces
The proud grandma with McKel
Avril, enjoying her stick horse
Alicia dressed McKel in a cute Christmas outfit
Later that evening, Kelly and Trish came up from SLC and dropped by after visiting his mom
Over the weekend we also made it up to the folks while Kelly, Trish, and Olivia were visiting and were able to watch Kelly and Trish battle it out in ping-pong
Jared was there too.
Two of Gayle's thoughtful Christmas gifts were a delux Scrabble game (rotating board with ridges around the cells) and an official Scrabble dictionary! We have to train in order to compete when we're in Georgia with Gayle's sisters and spouses. Gayle reminded me to point out that we've played 5 times so far, and she has beaten me every time!
